Some photos of the fungus-making process (these are the three-dee things for my next/final Open Studio project).
The pair of mushrooms (top few photos) was made from wire/cardboard/masking tape/a whole bunch of glooped-on acrylic paint, then made colourful with gouache.
The cordyceps-stalk in the last two photos (for more on cordyceps, see here) has a wire core covered in a ton of hot glue (my clever stand-in for silicone/plastic) then painted with gouache. It has a decent amount of articulation, though I think the paint would crack if I bent it too much.
Right. Now back to work! Many (many many many) things to do!
